USCG attaboy...

In the "my heart bleeds" department, stuff we need to remember, and something sure smells like political skulduggery in America's Paradise,...

The other day we realized that it was about time to update our boat documentation. We checked our papers and, of course, it was set to run out the next day...

So, a hop online to reup our boat documentation and pay the $26 fee. Simple, painless, and hassle-free.

Less than a week later our new documentation was sitting in our PO box courtesy of the excellent USPS.

Like I said, simple, painless, and hassle-free. Just like every time we've done it on a variety of boats for the last forty years in a number of countries.

That said, there still seems to be a lot of people who keep saying it takes months, that the process is over-complicated, and prone to all sorts of FUBAR clusterfuck but our collective experience is they do a 100% great job.

Then again, we are able to follow very simple instructions, can fill out a simple form, know our address, remember to put stamps on our mail, and can spell our name... Might there be a connection?

Just saying.
